A U.S. Border Patrol agent recently arrested on a drunk driving allegation admitted to drinking beer prior to the arrest, according to an arrest affidavit. The case unfolded at about 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 25, when a Texas Department of Public Safety sergeant traveling north on Loop 20 near the intersection of Jacaman Road observed a vehicle failing to signal a lane change, speeding and disregarding a red light.
