Cops lie. That’s just the way it is. It shouldn’t be this way. Cops are given an incredible amount of power and expected to handle it responsibly. But when they start doing things they shouldn’t be doing, out come the lies. Accountability may as well be a foreign term of legal art because cops understand it about as well as they understand the laws they’re supposed to enforce: i.e., not at all. A Billings service organization honored members of local law enforcement in a Tuesday luncheon at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The Downtown Exchange Club presented its Officer of the Year award to ... Deputy Brandon Smart of the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office .... and each received a Glock handgun in appreciation of their service.
If he's their best, I'd sure hate to see the bottom of their barrel!

No doubt that semi-auto Glock will come in handy on future bar prowls. :D
