A Bridgeport police officer last year quietly received a pardon for criminal convictions, allowing him to regain his job patrolling city streets despite reservations from members of a state oversight board. In 2013, after just two years on the force, Officer Paul Cari had his gun and badge stripped and was relegated to an administrative role at the Bridgeport Police Department following his arrest for an off-duty domestic violence incident.
