The state Police Officer Standards and Training Council has voted to revoke the certification of former New Haven police officer Gary Gamarra, preventing him from working as an officer in the state. Karen Boisvert, police academy administrator with POST, confirmed the council had voted to decertify Gamarra. Through two internal affairs investigations, Gamarra was found to have violated department regulations in sexual interactions with two women while working as an officer in the Fair Haven neighborhood.
