They found it suspicious to see a Fort Wayne Police squad car parked and still running on the side of the road in the early morning hours of St. Patrick’s Day. Court documents say a Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) officer was arrested for drunk driving on St. Patrick’s Day after he was allegedly found passed out in his squad car in Wells County. According to an affidavit, a Wells County sheriff’s deputy said he was headed to Markle around 2:30 a.m. on March 17 when he saw a fully-marked FWPD car stopped on the shoulder of S.R. 116.
