A Haverhill police officer was arrested on a drunk driving charge following a two-car crash Sunday night. Haverhill police said Officer Carlos Arriaga was off duty at the time of the crash, which occurred just before 8 p.m. in the area of 216 Essex Street. According to police, Arriaga's 2017 Mercedes GLE 350 struck a parked and occupied 2022 Honda CRV, damaging both vehicles. Both drivers reported minor injuries.
