Inside a display case in Krystal Wagner's living room is a pair of boots, an unfinished pack of Marlboro cigarettes opened four years ago and bloody coins. The items were worn and carried by her only son, 19-year-old Shane Jensen, when he was fatally shot Nov. 11, 2017, by Iowa Department of Natural Resources conservation officer William Spece. Shane Jensen was fatally shot by DNR officer William Spece on a Saturday. By the next Thursday, Spece's actions were declared justified.
