President Joe Biden is playing hardball with migrant families that were separated at the border by the last administration. On Wednesday, the president said that these families would not be receiving $450,000 payments as compensation for being split up. The Wall Street Journal first reported last week that the U.S. Department of Justice was considering the $450,000 payouts to settle lawsuits with families who'd sued the U.S. government over the separations that had occurred under the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policy for illegal border crossings.
