Laredo cop facing DWI charge

A Laredo police officer has been arrested on the suspicion of driving drunk, according to authorities. Arturo Davalos Jr., 48, was arrested Monday and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office. Webb County Jail records show Davalos was released on bond the same day. If convicted, he could face up to 180 days in jail or a maximum fine of $2,000. Davalos is a 9-year LPD veteran. He was placed on administrative reassignment pending the outcome of the criminal investigation. An internal investigation by the LPD's Office of Professional Standards is also underway. ...
