The Paterson police officer accused of assaulting a city resident during a domestic dispute call – an act caught on another officer’s body-worn camera – and lying about in a report is back on the city’s payroll after he was suspended without pay for 30 days. Officer Spencer Finch, of Mahwah, who earns $106,737 a year, remains on suspension but is receiving his check in accordance with his union’s contract, Mayor Andre Sayegh said Tuesday.
